فقط با اضافه کردن th به اعداد اصلی

استثناهای موجود در زبان انگلیسی
one – first
two – second
three – third
five – fifth
eight – eighth
nine – ninth
twelve – twelfth
نکته:
در اعداد ترتیبی مرکب توجه داشته باشید که فقط آخرین شکل به صورت عدد ترتیبی نوشته می شود:
421st = four hundred and twenty-first
5,111th = five thousand, one hundred and eleventh
نکته:
وقتی به صورت رقم بیان می شود، دو حرف آخر کلمه نوشته شده به عدد ترتیبی اضافه می شود:
first = 1st
second = 2nd
third = 3rd
fourth = 4th
twenty-sixth = 26th
hundred and first = 101st
نکته:
در نام پادشاهان و ملکه ها، اعداد ترتیبی به اعداد رومی نوشته می شوند. در زبان انگلیسی گفتاری، حرف تعریف قبل از عدد ترتیبی استفاده می شود:
Charles II – Charles the Second
Edward VI – Edward the Sixth
Henry VIII – Henry the Eighth
